Prayers, Tears, and (hopefully) Relief **UPDATE**
So, my nearest and dearest cousin goes for some tests on Friday. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2008, and is now cancer free. We are all so proud of her, and what she has accomplished through her fight.
She's been going back to the doctor regularly, and they've been noticing that her liver enzymes were up. I'm not even sure what that is, or what causes them to be high. So she's going for a CAT Scan and a bone density scan on Friday.
Please keep her in your prayers, as well as our family. She's gone through so much in the past year, and all I can hope is that her struggle will soon be over. She is so deserving of rest and peace, without having to worry with doctors and tests.
**Heather went to the doctor on Friday. They did a CAT scan and bone scan. The doctor called and told her that there was NO sign of her cancer returning. The cause of her high liver enzymes is a fatty liver, which is caused by being slightly overweight. What a relief!

We'll be praying for her. Chin up.
if I had of read this earlier I would have told you that the liver enzyme test (ALT test) can be thrown off by eating fatty food before the test, and from drinking before the test as well.
Thankfully your cousin's tests came back good!
@reed44 - The doctor told her that numerous things could cause her liver enzymes to be high, but we were all so worried that it was caused by returning cancer cells.
Glad to hear the good news about your cousin. Will continue to pray that she stay healthy.
yay! what great news
